The exhumation option removes all traces of the pool.
This requires 6 steps:
- Disconnect the water and electrical utilities
- Demolish pool decking and dump in pool
- Demolish top 18 to 30 inches of pool and dump in pool
- Remove rest of pool and haul away
- Remove all plumbing and wiring
- Fill in with dirt, and compact it
This approach removes all traces of the former pool. This is required if the homeowner wants to build a home addition or guest house where the pool was located.
