The demo and fill option removes the pool decking.
This option requires 5 steps:
- Disconnect the water and electrical utilities
- Punch one or more holes in pool bottom for drainage
- Demolish pool decking and dump in pool
- Demolish top 18 to 30 inches of pool and dump in pool
- Fill in with dirt, and compact it
This approach hides all traces of the former pool, leaving the broken-up above-ground portions of the pool and the disconnected utilities in the ground.
